Andy Cross, BEng, CEng, FICE.
Andy works for Network Rail as an Engineering Expert in the Rail Investment Centre of Excellence. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers with over 30 years of Railway Civil Engineering experience, covering a wide range of asset types with his main area of expertise being bridges, especially footbridges. He has held various positions, most noticeably as the Structures Route Asset Manager for the Wales Region, responsible for over 10,000 assets including a variety of bridges.
During his career, he has had increasing involvement with the development of FRP structures, being key in the development of the listed FRP station bridge at Dawlish and is currently responsible for the development of the innovative FRP FLOW footbridge.
