From a background in synthetic organic chemistry. Nathan draws on experience with many chemical sectors, working in contract synthesis in the UK. After joining Lubrizol, Nathan worked in the areas of colloidal chemistry, small molecules and innovative processes before moving his attention to new materials. Since moving to the Lubrizol Advanced Materials research site in Blackley, Manchester, Nathan has been leading technical efforts in the development of additives for thermoset fibre reinforced composites and has been responsible for expanding research and testing capabilities for this area.
