Starting his career as a mechanical technical apprentice in 1999 with GKN’s at its
Cowes site (Isle of Wight) he had exposure to multiple large aerospace programs both
civil and defense. After a move away from engineering he returned to GKN in 2014
joining the GKN Composites technology team and has subsequently worked on
several high value ATI and European funded programs of work including,
LOCOMACHS, VIEWS, Wing of Tomorrow and now ASCEND focusing on composites
processing for high rate advanced manufacture.
Now located at GKN’s Global Technology Centre in Bristol, as a Principal Composites
Research engineer, he is the GKN technical lead for the ATI funded program of work
ASCEND delivering the future of sustainable, automation and high rate composite
structures for aerospace.
